Ajahm Brahm is one of my favorite people on the planet He is a delight to read and listen to I highly recommend every book and writes and every talk he makes I would even listen to his farts I m sure there s gotta be something funny or Wise in them. Great book for little parables and inspiring stories by the Australian Buddhist monk, Ajahn Brahm He discusses and provides stories of how Buddist monks and nuns are experts on separating the mind from the difficulties that surround them Each story is two to three pages so it easy for a busy person or parent to pick up and put down during the day I used many of the stories as discussion starters with high school students, a great way to get them to think and analyze life. *BOOK ⇔ Don't Worry, Be Grumpy: Inspiring Stories for Making the Most of Each Moment ⇔ Laugh aloud even as you look at life anew with these stories from the bestselling author of Who Ordered This Truckload of Dung Inbrief stories with titles like The Bad Elephant, Girlfriend Power, and The Happiness License, Ajahn Brahm offers up timeless wisdom that will speak to people from all walks of life Drawing from his own experiences, stories shared by his students, and old chestnuts that he delivers with a fresh twist, Ajahn Brahm shows he knows his way around the humorous parable, delighting even as he surprises us with unexpected depth and inspiration Loved the lightheartedness of this book Some stories were so delightful that I read them outloud to my family members as I followed them around the house Yeah, I know I ve absolutely loved the book Just what I needed for a fresh start in 2017 Short and often funny stories contain an incredible amount of wisdom The book offers a whole new perspective on life.
