I received this book as a Goodreads winner A good alternative romance read although I felt like I was missing something in this book, was there a prequel before it Reagan Reynolds is paying for her way back into the business she was destined to manage, rebuilding her relationship with her father, and trying to get over the woman who may well have been the love of her life.Chad Morgan is also trying to move on, from her attraction to Reagan and her wounds from the case When she gets back from a well earned vacation she takes on the protection detail for the future first lady who is attending a conference in Abu Dhabi.Neither Reagan or Chad expect to see each other again, certainly neither expect to be in the same hotel, at the same conference or caught up in a plot to infect the guests with a deadly virus Will they work together to stop the plot And can they work through their past issues to rekindle their connection Surviving Reagan is a sequel to Executive Disclosure and takes Chad and Reagan another step along their tumultuous journey Determined to stay away from each other, even in the confines of the conference, they are irresistibly drawn together and both need to explore their feelings, deal with their past and consider their future. This is a fun romp of a thriller with foreign dictators, undercover agents, unhappy gay pick ups all set in a hotel in Abu Dhabi which makes everything twice as difficult Only women are allowed on the protection detail, no guns in the country, no alcohol and definitely no strong minded lesbians. The story moves along nicely with some unexpected twists and turns, and the combination of the adventure and the romance work well Reagan s panic attacks not withstanding the characters are well drawn and engaging The interplay between Chad and her team is well done and the madcap antics of the main suspect are amusing.Overall a most pleasant read, definitely a good follow up to Executive Disclosure tying up lose ends and perhaps sorting out the Chad and Reagan romance only time will tell 2 book of Reagan and Chad Lovely story, same intensity as book 1 A lot of action, and if you read 1 you know there is some bad air between those 2 Really good story.I just wish there was onechapter or epilogue Sequel to Executive Disclosure Chad Morgan has just about recovered from the traumatic hurt and betrayal she suffered at the hands of her ex client and lover, Reagan Reynolds Unfortunately for Chad, the past is about to rear it s ugly head again in the form of Reagan Reynolds Reagan Reynolds is just getting her life back on track after her diabolical past transgressions Her father has entrusted her to represent Reynolds Holdings at the women s conference in Abu Dhabi Knowing this may be her Sequel to Executive Disclosure Chad Morgan has just about recovered from the traumatic hurt and betrayal she suffered at the hands of her ex client and lover, Reagan Reynolds Unfortunately for Chad, the past is about to rear it s ugly head again in the form of Reagan Reynolds Reagan Reynolds is just getting her life back on track after her diabolical past transgressions Her father has entrusted her to represent Reynolds Holdings at the women s conference in Abu Dhabi Knowing this may be her one chance to prove herself, Reagan grabs it with both hands Chad s new client is the future first lady, Sylvia Allegany Chad and her team are contracted to protect her at the women s conference in Abu Dhabi It s here that Chad uncovers a plot to release a deadly virus that could kill countless people if released Will Chad and her team be able to avert the disaster Unknown to both Chad and Reagan, they are about to cross paths once again How will they both handle the meeting Will Reagan be able to convince Chad she s changed Will Chad ever be able to forgive Reagan Or will this be a moot point and they be separated by death forever Another well written page turner from the awesome pen of Isabella Be aware, I couldn t put this down once I started it So allow plenty of time, it s a one sitting read I waited for this sequel with eager anticipation since reading the final sentence of Executive Disclosure Although not happy at having to wait for the sequel, I can tell you now, it is definitely well worth the wait Surviving Reagan has cleared up all the loose ends from Executive Disclosure and also given the readerinsight into the relationship between Chad and Reagan Two women who are made for each other, but have problems to sort out before they can be together, if they ever get together This story has left me wanting , muchTake note Isabella, this definitely needs a sequel More of Chad and Reagan and what happens next This story is fast paced, the plot is tight and fraught with tension and twists and turns throughout, right up to the end There is the added bonus of a nice romance simmering in the background waiting to be ignited Both Chad and Reagan are multi faceted and there is an excellent cast of secondary characters all essential to the plot and the progression of the story Some characters are obnoxious, but are so well written, that I found myself loving to detest them I ve read everything Isabella has published and without a second thought, will pick up whatever she publishes in the future as a must read I ve added this to my re read folder, hopefully, if there is another in the series, I ll read them all together once again This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers To view it, click here I m glad the author put the characters back together and the ending was better than Book 1 But just like Book 1 it ended right after the climax with a brief conclusion that didn t wrap it up in a nice bow like most books That being said the ending did leave open the possibility of another book which I will definitely read. hum to start with, I think I ll go back to buy and read the first book before this one and then read this book again As much as I ve enjoyed the story thoroughly, and the author offered a glimps of the character s previous life so it is true indeed the book can be read as a standalone to me, not reading the first book has left me felt there s something missing in the chemistry between the two characters. The plot and the conspiracy itself was very well written and I like that little twist o another great read where the story will simply bring you to finish the book in one sitting at least it holds true for me.Kind of hope to have another book after this one, where we can see how Reagan and Chad make steps to be together again This was definitely a page turner and my only disappointment was that it ended Chad is great as always and even though Reagan has made her mistakes I found myself rooting for her throughout the book I hope to seefrom Chad and Reagan in the future. THIS BOOK TURNED OUT TO BE BETTER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD IT IS A FAST PACED STORYLINE THAT LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK. At the end of the first book I was pretty damn irritated with Isabella And you should read that one first btw She redeemed herself in this book as far as the main characters are concerned This was a good book but not quite as riveting as Executive Disclosure. ^Book ☘ Surviving Reagan ✐ Chad Caldwell has finally worked through the betrayal of her former client and lover, Reagan Reynolds Putting the pieces of her life back in order, she finds herself on a collision course with that past when she takes on a new client, the future first lady Unfortunately, Chad s newest job puts her in the cross hairs of a domestic terrorist determined to release a virus that could kill thousands of women Reagan Reynolds has paid for her sins and is ready to start a new life Attending a business conference in Abu Dhabi gives her the opportunity to prove to her father and herself that she s worthy of a fresh start Her past will intersect with her future at the conference when she accidentally comes face to face with Chad Caldwell Time is running out Will Reagan confront Chad Can she convince Chad she s changed, or will death part them forever
